What We Do

At SDR Properties LLC, we don’t renovate, we redevelop. Our goal is to transform obsolete real estate assets into sustainable and functional forever homes. We add functionality by expanding on the original footprint. We add sustainability by constructing new framing, installing above-code insulation, sewer lines, roof, electrical lines, HVAC and floor systems. Quality is key and we always try to source materials locally. Simply put, our homes transform neighborhoods.

Founder, Roshini Thinakaran, received a MS in Real Estate/ Finance from Kogod School of Business, American University. She has been in the field for over 10 years. Prior to working in real estate development, Roshini worked in multimedia. She is recognized as a National Geographic Emerging Explorer and Ted Global Fellow for her documentary work focusing on women and war.
